Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon was evasive when asked about James Conner's (knee) status for Week 17.
Conner exited Arizona's Week 16 game against the Panthers with a knee issue and did not return, leaving the lead back role to Michael Carter. The Cardinals, who were eliminated from playoff contention with their loss to Carolina, plays Saturday night against the Rams. It could be an uphill climb for Conner to get ready for Week 17. Carter should be picked up in most fantasy leagues in the coming days.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Alec Pierce remains in the NFL's concussion protocol.
Pierce has missed two games with a brain injury he suffered in Week 15 against Denver. Steichen said Pierce was progressing through the league's concussion protocol but had not yet cleared it. He should be able to suit up this week against the Giants if he can clear the protocol and log some limited late week practices. Pierce won't be fantasy viable in most leagues.

Aaron Rodgers: Iffy for Week 17 with knee injury
Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Tuesday that Rodgers sustained a knee injury in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams, and the veteran quarterback's status for the Jets' Week 17 game in Buffalo is uncertain, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
