Trade Hub – Week 3

Welcome back and happy Monday. It’s time to talk trades in my weekly Trade Hub article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football.

Week 2 is finishing up tonight in Philadelphia with a matchup between the 0-1 Atlanta Falcons and the 1-0 Philadelphia Eagles. The over/under is currently 45.5 with the Eagles favored by 5.5 It seemed the line moved a point after the AJ Brown inactive news. The Falcons will go as far as Kirk Cousins will take them and his primetime history isn’t a good one. Bijan Robinson should get a hefty workload in this game and will be a big factor in tonight’s outcome. This will be Saquon’s first game in Philly as an Eagle after his 3 TD performance in Brazil. We should be in for a good game under the lights. My prediction for MNF week 2 is an Eagles win. Even without AJ Brown, the Eagles have weapons all around that should be able to outpace Atlanta. Will 3 TD or 3 INT Kirk Cousins show up? Can DeVonta Smith and other pass catchers fill the hole that AJ Brown leaves open? Will Saquon or Hurts get goal line touches? I’m going with a core of 27-23 in favor of Philadelphia.

It's still very early in the season, but always make sure you’re aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 2 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce owners have gone through it week 1 and week 2. After a 3 catch with 34 yards performance to start the season, he finished week 2 with just 1 reception for 5 yards and a rush for 1 yard. Now that looks terrible in the box score but there is reason to keep and/or trade for Kelce. He had a big 40+ yard catch that was called back and was just a yard short of scoring his first TD of the season. Isaiah Pacheco is going to miss time with his injury so even more reliance will be on Kelce. I believe Kelce is still going to have a great year and his stock might not be this low much longer.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (oblique) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Walker missed Week 2 with the oblique injury after not practicing last week. If he can practice later in the week, it would be better news, but Walker is trending towards missing Week 3 as well. Zach Charbonnet is back in line for lead back touches and should fare better against the Dolphins after averaging less than three yards per carry against the Pats last week. Charbonnet is headed for RB2 value while Walker remains out.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
This is a great sign for Wilson's Week 3 availability though with No. 2 RB Raheem Mostert (chest) also practicing in a limited capacity, Wilson is likely relegated to No. 3 duties. Wilson is just a bench stash at this point.

Nick Sirianni defends decision to kick late field goal
After the Eagles made the ill-advised decision to throw the ball on third and three with less than two minutes to play and the Falcons out of timeouts, the Eagles opted to kick a field goal and go up by six instead of going for it and, if unsuccessful, giving the Falcons the ball at or about their own 10, with a field goal needed to force overtime.
