Start/Sit Hub Week 4

It is officially week 4 of the 2024 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit HUB! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out. For all things fantasy football, follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard).

This week’s Thursday Night Football game is a divisional matchup between the 1-2 Dallas Cowboys and the 1-2 New York Giants. Giants will be the home team in a game with the over/under set at 45.5 and the Cowboys favored by 6. Both of these teams 1 victory came against the Cleveland Browns. Both teams have a 3-point loss and both teams have a 20+ point loss. Most would assume the Cowboys roll to an easy victory, which might be the case, but Malik Nabers will want to have a say in that. The rookie phenom is 2nd in the NFL with 23 receptions, ranks 5th in the NFL with 271 receiving yards, and is tied for most receiving TDs in the NFL with 3. Last year the Cowboys scored 89 points in their 2 matchups with the Giants and allowed just 17 points. My prediction for this game is a 26-20 victory for the Cowboys. Hoping for big games from CeeDee Lamb and Malik Nabers in what could be a WR rivalry for years to come.

I’m here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.

TNF START/SIT

Start – Malik Nabers – All aboard the Malik Nabers hype train. The rookie out of LSU has accounted for 3 of the giants 6 total TDs this season and 3 out the 4 receiving TDs. The Cowboys seem to be susceptible to the big play, and Malik Nabers is the definition of a big play. If Daniel Jones can get the ball out to him, he should be able to do the rest. This will also be Maliks first primetime game under the lights so I think he’ll want to make it memorable.

Anthony Richardson lays out offseason plans
QB expects to work with same expert that helped Josh Allen When Anthony Richardson returns to his offseason training in Florida, he'll be working on very specific areas of improvement with his team of coaches and trainers. Among them: refining his throws on short and intermediate routes and throwing with more touch. He'll be focusing on overall technique as well, such as his sometimes-sloppy footwork. He also has plans to work with biometric expert Chris Hess, who counts Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen among his clients whose throwing motions he has helped refine. During a recent NFL Films segment, Allen called Hess "the most influential person in my mechanical career." Allen credits Hess with helping him dramatically increase his completion rate from 52.8% as a rookie to 69.2% by his third season. (ESPN.com - Stephen Holder) FF Today's Take: Allen noted that Hess helped him realize that his hip was too often out in front of his arm when throwing, which largely contributed to how often he was inaccurate in his early years with the Bills. It should come as no surprise if Hess reaches a similar conclusion about Richardson, who is a massively talented player with relatively little football experience and poor fundamentals. The good thing about Richardson in fantasy this upcoming season is that his cost will be low enough to draft as a QB2, which should be enough to make him a huge bargain if Hess can work his magic on him.
