Backups and Handcuffs – Just Say No!

Drafting a backup QB or TE is a wasted pick. There are too many values and sleepers at RB and WR. Remember Devonta Freeman and Doug Baldwin a couple years ago or Michael Thomas last year? I bet the person who won your league remembers them…

The same applies for handcuffs. You simply don’t know what a backup RB is going to do if thrust into the starting position. And that’s if he ever starts. You’re better off taking another value pick. If your starting RB goes down, you can always trade those value picks you drafted. There WILL be someone looking for an upgrade and you’ll be able to make a trade.
