Waiver Hub – Week 4

Mike Hubbard Jr here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) and Instagram (@fantasyhubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season. Feel free to tweet me or message me on either social media with any comments or questions you might have regarding fantasy football.

Week 3 has ended and week 4 starts on Thursday with a matchup between the 3-0 Miami Dolphins and the 1-2 Cincinnati Bengals. Both teams are coming off wins and will want to keep the ball rolling. The line currently is -3 in favor of Cinci. The over/under is currently 47.5. My prediction is a 26-24 win for Miami, and they will most likely make it dramatic in the 4th quarter per usual. If Tua is okay to play after his concussion-like encounter in week 3, then I like Miami to stay perfect.

Fantasy football is well underway now so it’s time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here’s another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.

Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.

TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Jamaal Williams – Detroit Lions

If you read my TRADE HUB article, then you already know Jamaal Williams is vulturing TDs and making the most of his opportunities. D’Andre Swift is most likely going to miss some time and Williams should directly benefit from this nicely. Williams will not only get goal line work, but he will be RB1 in Detroit and should put up Swift-like stats. Williams and the Lions get Seattle in week 4 who is allowing the 3rd most rushing yards to opposing teams this season.  Williams is a great add and starter this week.

D'Andre Swift (groin) is questionable for Week 12 against the Vikings.
Swift progressed through all three participation designations this week, going from a DNP on Wednesday, to an LP on Thursday and an FP on Friday. Although he is listed as questionable, his ability to practice in full on Friday indicates he should be active this week. Roschon Johnson's rise complicates things though, making Swift just an RB3/4 while operating in a timeshare against one of the NFL's best run defenses.

Keenan Allen (ankle) is questionable for Week 12 against the Vikings.
Allen was added to Friday's injury report as a Limited Participant, which suggests he suffered the ankle injury during Friday's practice. The injury's severity and nature are unknown at this time but fantasy managers should immediately make backup plans. Friday injury report additions are never a good sign.
