Trade Hub – Week 2

Welcome back to a new season of fantasy football! It’s Monday so it’s time to talk trades in my weekly Trade Hub article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league.  I hope your offseason was a good one, but it’s time to get back to business. We are finishing up week 1 tonight and hopefully you’re feeling good about the team you drafted. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football.

Week 1 will come to a close tonight following the MNF matchup between the New York Jets and the home team San Francisco 49ers. The over/under is 43.5 with the 49ers favored by 3.5 points. These 2 teams have a lot of hype entering the season. 49ers are still a powerhouse team with a dynamic roster, while the Jets are just hoping to finally play a full game with Aaron Rodgers behind center. Christian McCaffrey and Breece Hall are 2 of the best do it all RBs in the NFL so it will be fun to see them rush and receive in primetime. Purdy has a healthy Deebo, Kittle, and Aiyuk at his disposal while the Jets have Garrett Wilson as their main receiving threat. My prediction for this week 1 matchup is a 49ers win. Too much star power in SF. I think CMC and Deebo both find the endzone for SF while Breece Hall breaks a big one. Will Aaron Rodgers thrive on the road in week 1 after a long injury driven sabbatical? Will CMC continue to just overpower defenses? I’m going to go with a 27-16 win for SF. Slow first half and hopefully an explosive 2nd half.

I know we are only entering week 2 but always make sure you’re aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 2 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

JK Dobbins – LA Chargers

Dobbins played in a split backfield alongside Gus Edwards in Jim Harbaugh’s first game as Chargers head coach. Edwards had 11 carries compared to Dobbins 10, but the results were significantly different. Dobbins looked healthy yesterday rushing for 135 yards and caught all 3 of his targets 4 additional receiving yards. Dobbins also found the endzone rushing for 1 of the Chargers 2 TDs. Dobbins played 33 snaps compared to Edwards 24. Harbaugh has a balanced offensive attack, and it seems Dobbins has the leg up thus far over Gus. Worth throwing a buy low trade offer as long as you have faith in Dobbin’s health not being a concern like previous seasons.
