Vikings re-signed CB Byron Murphy to a three-year, $66 million contract.
Murphy was poised to hit the open market come Wednesday but the team ultimately retained his services through a contract that makes his the fourth highest paid cornerback in the league. FOX NFL's Jordan Schultz reports the Patriots "have had discussions on trading QB Joe Milton."
Schultz notes that the Pats want to trade him to a situation where he can continue to develop. He said the team should be able to get a deal done. New England has agreed to terms with Josh Dobbs on a two-year, $8 million contract. That takes care of the backup gig and leaves Milton without much of a role on the team. The Pats almost certainly signed Dobbs knowing Milton would be traded down the road. The cannon-armed quarterback played the bulk of New England's Week 18 finale last year and threw for 241 yards plus a touchdown. He also rushed for a touchdown. Milton remains a developmental option, but he has the physical tools of a starting quarterback. Staring down a weak free agent crop and an underwhelming draft class, someone will take a shot on Milton this offseason.

Jets signed S Andre Cisco to a one-year, $10 million contract.
The deal marks Cisco's first season away from the Jaguars, who drafted him in the 2021 NFL draft's third round. The 24-year-old safety has forced incompletions at a 20.0 percent rate, or better, in 3-of-4 seasons. He can be expected to compete for one of the two starting roles alongside incumbent S Tony Adams.
