ESPN's Adam Schefter reports authorities have opted not to pursue domestic violence charges against Xavier Worthy following his Friday evening arrest.
"After further investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff's Office and further discussion with a third-party witness, Mr. Worthy and his attorneys, this case is being declined at this time pending completion of the investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff's Office," the DA's office said in a statement. It's unclear what exactly happened here, as the DA also said "we will continue to evaluate the case." It nevertheless seems Worthy could end up in the clear legally. Worthy steadfastly maintained his innocence in a statement earlier Saturday. Stay tuned.
